Star-Spangled Sailabration

Baltimore kicks off the Bicentennial Celebration of the War of 1812 on Wednesday June 13th!

The Star-Spangled Sailabration features an International Parade of more than 40 Tall Ships and Naval Vessels including free ship tours, waterfront activities and air shows featuring the Blue Angels.

Free Star-Spangled Air Show

 

June 16th and 17th from 1-4pm *exact time TBD based on weather conditions

Various US Naval and Coast Guard planes (including the Blue Angels) will perform over the Middle Branch of Patapsco River.

Designated public viewing areas:

  •  Fort McHenry National Monument: Open:  Saturday, June 16 from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 17 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. There will be food vendors but alcoholic beverages will not be sold at the Fort. Visitors may opt to bring picnic lunches, including alcoholic beverages
  •  MedStar Harbor Hospital
  •  Martin State Airport: for an up close view of grounded planes, as well as take-off and landing for airshow – 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m: Visitors can enjoy food and beverage vendors, and view military aircrafts up close

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra showcases the world premiere of “Overture for 2012”. Composed by Philip Glass, the show runs 90 minutes.
