New Vintage Jazz and Wine Festival
The Fairgrounds 1299 Half St SE Price: $30- $55 Time: Saturday 2 pm to 10 pm Where many wine festivals put sips first and sounds second, the inaugural New Vintage Jazz and Wine festival at Fairgrounds, curated by the jazz lovers at Capital Bop and the Petworth Jazz Project, leads with its killer musical lineup. The festival brings together New York guitar virtuoso Rafiq Bhatia, excellent local Afrobeat band Funk Ark, and D.C. ensemble Kris Funn & Corner Store, plus live painting performances from Art Whino’s stable of artists. The wine? In this case, it’s merely a bonus.
Friday Night Live!
Herndon Town Green 777 Lyn Street Herndon, Va Time: 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm Price: Free Friday Night Live! is the most popular outdoor summer concert series in the DC area. FNL! is FREE and held on the beautiful Town Green in Herndon. We feature the most popular local and acts from up and down the east coast. Most of our bands play rock and roll covers from classic to modern rock.
Wags N Whiskers

Maryland Renaissance Festival
Intersection of Route 450 and Crownsville Rd Time: Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 7 pm Price: Through September 15 Adults $17 Children $8 The Maryland Renaissance Festival recreates a 16th century English village with crafts, food, live performances on 8 stages, a jousting arena and lots of games.
Kegs and Corks Beer and Wine Festival
Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds 1450 General’s Highway Crownsville, MD Time: Saturday from 12 pm to 7 pm Price: $10-$25 This is a unique festival where craft beer and wine come together…catering to beer and wine lovers alike.The festival will once again feature carefully selected craft beer and exceptional wine, Maryland crab cakes, fresh local oysters, and a variety of other delicious cuisine. In addition to local wines and craft beers, this year’s event will feature “Beer From Around the World,” an outdoor build-a-bar with Lime-A-Ritas and Straw-Ber-Ritas, and a sangria booth.

Sundaes in the Park
Northside Park Between 127th Street and the Bay Time: Sunday from 7pm-9pm Bring your picnic basket and beach chairs to Northside Park for ice cream sundaes and live entertainment. For a small fee, enjoy your own ice cream sundae creation as you listen to your musical favorites and watch the sunset over the beautiful Assawoman Bay. The grand finale to each Sundaes in the Park event will be Fireworks at 9pm! This Sunday features: The Reagan Years (80’s Music) and Cascading Carlos (A Juggling Workshop).
