I intend to eat my way through this entire weekend. There are so many great events for food lovers in Baltimore. I have been fasting all day just to prepare! Okay I am kidding, but check these out!
Cupcakes and Cocktails – There is a new cupcake store on the block called Caroline’s Cupcakes. Tonight they will be hosting a Cupcakes and Cocktails event at their brand new store on Fort Ave. From 7-9 cupcake lovers will gather to have a taste of their creations, each paired with a wine. I certainly CANNOT miss this event – check out the blog next week to hear about it and read my review.
Bourbon & Bowties at Capital Grille – The Quintessential Gentleman will be hosting this fabulous event in honor of Shannon Dudley who was brutally attacked on his way home from barber school. The Capital Grille will be providing appetizers, and there will be a bourbon tasting and complimentary cigar. There will also be a chance to meet Raven’s play Paul Kruger. Tickets are $65 to support Shannon Dudley and his family.
Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert at the Hippodrome – The famous host of No Reservations, Anthony Bourdain, will be joined by chef and author, Eric Ripert, tomorrow night at the Hippodrome. They will be speaking candidly about their lives as chef and offer a behind the scenes look at the world of fine dining restaurants. Following their talk will be the Hippodrome’s first “Foodie Experience”. Participants include Woodberry Kitchen, The Wine Market, and The Dogwood.
Let’s Eat Charles Street – This festival will give you the opportunity to sample great foods from many of the restaurants within the Charles Street district. There will be food, refreshments, retail items, live music, dancing, and children’s activities. The event is FREE with food and beverages offered at varying prices. A few of the participating restaurants include Brewer’s Art, The Helmand, and Cazbar.
Vino Rosina now OPEN in Harbor East! – Stop over to Vino Rosina if you are looking for a new restaurant to check out! The restaurant is owned by the same people as Rosina Gourmet. I am mostly excited for this restaurant because the head chef is none other than Jesse Sandlin, from Bravo’s Top Chef TV series. I must admit I am a huge fan of the show and so excited to have one of the chefs in our city!
