Posted on July 18, 2016

Vacation can expensive and stressful, so consider a staycation instead! Take time off to explore your own backyard.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

1. Hike, Bike, Play
Hit the trails at one of Baltimore’s parks. Check out the beautiful Gwynn Falls area or take the pup for a long walk at Lake Roland.

2. Take a Tour
Hop on board the Pirate Ship Fearless and cruise on the Inner Harbor in true swashbuckling fashion. Brave Baltimoreans and out-of-towners will enjoy the famed Baltimore Ghost Tour. The faint of heart might prefer to participate in a Charm City Food Tour and get the inside scoop on the best pubs and restaurants around. For an extra special tour, ask your concierge for tickets reserve seating tickets to the Day on the Bay Cruise to St. Michael’s MD.

3. Day Trip to D.C.
How long has it been since you visited our Nation’s Capital? Washington D.C. is bursting with museums, monuments, and sights. You’ll be hard-pressed to see everything in one day!

4. Visit Artscape 2016
If you are in town for July 14-16, be sure to stop by Artscape – the Nation’s largest free arts festival! Taking place in the gigantic stretch of Mount Royal Avenue & Cathedral Street, Charles Street, Bolton Hill, and Station North Arts & Entertainment District neighborhoods, Artscape features art, performances, theatre, comedy, film, food and drink, and demonstrations for the whole family. Don’t miss it!

5. See a Show
Catch the Country Megaticket at Jiffy Lube, get down to Ted Nugent at Rams Head Live, or indulge in Phantom of the Opera at the Kennedy Center. Check with your concierge for current concert, theatre and event tickets!
