It’s Time To Go Vintage
Posted on April 21, 2010

One of the largest wine events on the East Coast is hitting on June 5th and 6th 2010 at Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville, Virginia .  The Vintage Virginia Wine Festival will be featuring 50 wineries including over 250 award-winning Virginia wines.  I attended this event last year and have been counting down the days for its’ return!  I was surrounded by enlightening educational seminars on food pairing, children’s activities, fine art exhibits, food and live entertainment.

Through my eyes the best way to take advantage of this festival is to do an hour or so of tasting at the different tents and then buy your favorite bottles and go enjoy the art, food, and music on the lawn.  A few things you must have at this festival are the Maryland crab cakes and Giovanni’s Italian food.  With so many different wines you will be able to find the perfect match for your vintage experience.

I took it up a notch last year and planned alternate transportation through our concierge service.  The limo picked a large group of us up from Arlington, Virginia.  We were able to travel to and from the festival while enjoying our wines and listening to our choice of music.  It was a perfect way to kick back and relax while traveling in style.

This is the way to go because you do not have to worry about driving if you decide to have that extra glass of your favorite Pinot Grigio!  Tickets are available through the Vintage website, http://www.vintagevirginia.com/.   It doesn’t matter which way you get your ticket as long as you get one!  Believe me when I say you do not want to miss out on this event.  I have been to more wine events than I can remember, but this by far surpassed them all.

So grab your wineglass, flip-flops, sunglasses, and friends and get ready to go on a wine adventure of a lifetime!  Cheers!
