Downtown Holiday Market

The annual Downtown DC Holiday Market offers seasonal outdoor shopping with a festive atmosphere in the heart of Washington DC’s Penn Quarter neighborhood. The event features more than 150 exhibitors and artisans offering distinctive gifts for all along with food and live musical entertainment.

The region’s must-see holiday attraction ICE! is back with an exciting new theme featuring Frosty the Snowman! The story of Frosty is brought to life in more than two million pounds of colorful ice. Patrons can walk through the classic Christmas story, slide down 2-story tall ice slides and watch artists as they create these frozen marvels in the live carving zone at The Frostbite Factory.

Kwanzaa Celebration at the Black History Museum

The museum’s event explores the history and significance of Kwanzaa. The program will lead participants in learning fun ways to celebrate the seven days of Kwanzaa through a variety of creative games, interactive songs, dances and hands-on crafts.

Chabad Lubavitch of Alexandria-Arlington sponsors a Menorah Lighting by Community Leaders and Dignitaries. The event will also include a free raffle, family entertainment, chocolate gelt and dreidels, fresh latkes, and lively Chanukah music.

The Second City’s Nut-Cracking Holiday Revue
