French Festival at Hillwood

This annual DC festival celebrates France both past and present, with festivities for visitors of all ages, including dance performances, live music, French games, and hands-on art projects. Events take place among Hillwood-founder, Marjorie Post’s first collecting passion for the decorative arts of 18th century France, as well as the magnificent gardens on the estate.
American Beer Classic

American Beer Classic is a unique experience as attendees get to try a wide variety of America’s finest beers on the grass of DC’s iconic RFK Stadium. DC Caribbean Carnival

Time: Saturday and Sunday, 12pm to 9pm
The festive annual Caribbean style parade encourages everyone to explore the wonderful experience the Caribbean culture has to offer, and to educate youths and adults in Caribbean arts, and crafts. More than 30 participating groups representing the Caribbean, Latin America and the Diaspora come together in colorful costumes portraying different themes, and dancing to the sound of Calypso, Soca, Reggae, African, Haitian, Latin and Steelband music!
Cinema Al Fresco Open Air Film Festival

Time: Fridays Thru September
Italian-themed movies are projected on the outside of the Ciao Bella Restaurant, and movie-goers can enjoy free popcorn. Live music and dancing begins at 7 p.m., while screenings start at 8:30 p.m. or 9 p.m., depending on the length of the film. This Friday’s movie is Hairspray.

USA/Alexandria Birthday Celebration

Each year, Alexandria celebrates its own birthday and the nation’s birthday the Saturday following the Fourth of July. Join the party along the Potomac while enjoying live music by the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra, patriotic birthday cake, food vendors and a stunning fireworks display. Port City Old Town Pub Crawl

Port City is hosting their first Pub Crawl Saturday in Old Town Alexandria with a variety of food and drink specials! The event starts at Pizzeria Paradiso, where you will have until 3:00 to pick up your FREE pass from a Port City employee. Participants then have until 5:30 to get the pass punched by a PCBC Staffer at: Virtue Feed & Grain, The Fish Market, The Waterfront Market and Union Street Public House. Once you complete the event at Union Street Public House, your will be rewarded with a limited edition pint glass!
