Bastille Day Celebration
Bastille Day is a French national holiday celebrated on July 14th commemorating the storming of Bastille Prison in 1789 and the launch of the French Revolution. The Alliance Française de Washington and French restaurants in the Washington DC area offer special events and menus in celebration of Bastille Day.

Hillwood Estate Museum and Gardens 4155 Linnean Avenue NW Time: Saturday 10 am to 5 pm This annual DC festival celebrates France both past and present, with festivities for visitors of all ages, including dance performances by The New York Baroque Dance Company, live music, French games, and hands-on art projects.

1001 Pennsylvania Ave NW Time: Saturday 5 pm to 11 pm The French restaurant will hold a Champs-Elysees-sized fête extraordinaire offering complimentary gougeres (warm and cheesy French pastry puffs) to all guests ordering dinner as well as special French specials added to the menu! Enjoy the sounds of DC’s swingiest jazz quartet Laissez-Foure from 6-10 p.m.

1615 Rhode Island Ave Time: Saturday 5 pm to 12 am The event will celebrate the National Day of France with fashionable creations, live French music, video and light projections, artistic presentations, and dancing atop one of DC’s finest rooftops.

Saturday: The parade starts at noon at 900 E 33rd Street Baltimore, MD. The festival is at Clifton Park until 10 pm. Sunday: noon to 9 pm
