Restaurant Week

Belgian Restaurant Week is held each July in Washington DC in recognition of Belgian National Day which is celebrated on July 21 and commemorates the day on which Leopold I took the constitutional oath as the first King of Belgium in 1831. Local Belgian restaurants offer special menus featuring prix-fixe lunch for $20 and prix-fixe dinner for $35. Time: July 16th through July 21st. Please contact your concierge for reservations.

Mussel Throw Down: Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm at Eastern Market. 225 7th Street SE. Admission is $5 and includes one beer or pot of mussels. Belgian-influenced chefs will “mussel” their way to the top, preparing unique variations in this madness of mollusks using various ingredients and a Belgian beer.

Christmas in July Union Street between Cameron and Duke Street, Old Town Alexandria Time: Saturday Price: Free Santa and Mrs. Claus will spread “summer” holiday cheer when they kick off the Annual Christmas in July Celebration in Alexandria, Virginia. Approximately 15 retailers and community organizations will host a variety of festive activities ranging from pictures with “Summer” Santa & Mrs. Claus, designer trunk shows, cookie decorating, children’s story time stations, arts and crafts, ice cream social, cool art, merchandise promotions, musical entertainment and much more!

Howard County Restaurant Weeks Howard County Restaurant Weeks offer twenty days of savings and local flavors at some of the region’s finest restaurants. The Farm-2-Table summer dining specials offer a great opportunity to enjoy locally grown products while trying new restaurants and supporting local farmers and food and beverage purveyors. Participating restaurants will offer prix fixe chef’s menus with prices ranging from $10.13 to $40.13. Time: July 17th through August 5th. Please contact your concierge for reservations.

Artscape Time: Friday Saturday and Sunday Price: Free Charles Street, Mount Royal Avenue, and much of the area around Station North Arts & Entertainment District will fill with art and culture during Artscape, where more than 150 artists and craftspeople will display their work. With bands and performing arts, this is a festival you wont want to miss!

Ratscape Hour Haus 135 W North Ave Price: $5 Time: Friday 2 pm to Monday at 2 am More than 40 bands will perform over the course of three days, including Arbouretum, Sterling Sisters, Slow Jerks, Old Lines, Advlts, Raindeer, Hot God, Baklavaa, Hollywood, Rukut, and Ravagers.
