Raise It Up! Anthem for America Concert
American History Museum

Raise It Up! Anthem for America is a national celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Star-Spangled banner. On June 14th, Flag Day, the American History Museum will hold a concert featuring guitarist Kristen Capolino, local blues band Little Bit a Blues, a 400-person choir, The United States Air Force Concert Band, and the official chorus of the U.S. Air Force, the Singing Sergeants. At 4pm nationwide, people will unite to sing the national anthem to kick off a Start-Spangled Summer.

Annual Crab Cake Competition

The 9thAnnucal Crab Cake Competition is hosted by The American Institute of Wine and Food and The Source by Wolfgang Puck to raise funds for culinary internships, scholarships, and educational programs. The contest challenges eight of the area’s top chefs in a crab cake showdown! The winner will receive funds for a culinary intern in their kitchen. Also, eight students from area culinary schools will participate for a chance to win a $500 scholarship.
