Washington, DC Events

golfMini Golf  National Building Museum 401 F St NW Time: Now through September 2  Price: $5 Since when did the National Building Museum become as much fun as a boardwalk arcade? First, the museum partnered with Hill Country for regular barbecues on its front lawn; now, there’s mini-golf! The museum’s course layout for 2013 has 18 holes — up from 12 last year — imagined by D.C. design and architecture firms, who drew on a variety of building-themed influences. The courses are open during museum hours, with late-night golf nights June 6, June 27, July 11, July 24, Aug. 8 and Aug. 22, when the holes will stay open until 9 p.m.

Smithsonian Folklife Festival National Mall between 7th and 14th Streets Time: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 11 am to 5:30 pm Price: Free Celebrate cultural traditions from around the world. The Festival includes daily and evening music and dance performances, crafts and cooking demonstrations, storytelling and discussions of cultural issues.

Virginia Events

bar-crawl-logo-smallThe All American Bar Crawl Clarendon Grill 1101 North Highland St Arlington Va Time: Saturday 1 pm to 9 pm Price: $20 Good news, Arlingtonians: You don’t have to wait until next week to dress up in your favorite red, white and blue outfit or don that perfect two-foot-high Uncle Sam hat. The All-American Bar Crawl hits at least 10 bars between Clarendon and Courthouse, with cheap drinks and food as well as prizes for the most outlandishly patriotic costumes.

Maryland Events

2013 Dundalk Heritage Fair June 28th, 29th, and 30th from noon until 10:00 pm each day. Admission is $7 per patron over 12 years of age.  Children 12 and under are FREE.  Tickets are ONLY sold at the front gate and side gates. Enjoy three days of fun, food and festivities at the annual Dundalk Heritage Fair. Activities include rides, pig races, fireworks and performances by Jefferson Starship, Three Dog Night and The Mahoney Brothers.

Montgomery County Heritage Days Time: Saturday and Sunday 12 pm to 4 pm More than 30 historic sites in Montgomery County, Maryland showcase the county’s rich history with free music, dance, food, and children’s activities. Please check website for specific locations and pricing.

1898588_origThe Gathering Summer Wine Tasting Friday, June 28th, McHenry Row, Baltimore, MD 5pm-10pm. General admission is free, $25 in advance, $30 at event, includes commemorative glass, wine tasting, live music and all of your favorite food trucks will be there as always!
