The first weekend in June is jam packed with all sorts of summer fun! Be sure to check out the wonderful warm weather festivals and events taking place all across the DMV. From the Fed Hill Jazz and Blues Festival to Celebrate Fairfax we’ve got you covered!

Green Festival Expo

The Green Festival focuses on sustainability education and green products and services. More than 300 exhibitors will showcase a wide range of products, services and resources in all things earth-friendly – from organic food, fashion, health, children’s toys and pet care to eco-travel, energy and transportation.

Museum Walk Weekend offers a variety of free activities, including special museum exhibitions, live music, food, demonstrations, walking and biking tours. Discover Anderson House, Dumbarton House, Heurich House Museum, Mary McLeod Bethune Council House National Historic Site, National Museum of American Jewish Military History, The Phillips Collection, and the President Woodrow Wilson House free of charge!

SAVOR is the must-attend for craft beer aficionados and foodies alike! The event offers a memorable craft beer and food experience to a limited number of attendees. Attendees can expect a variety of food items and two-ounce tastings of craft beer specifically paired to illustrate how well craft beer and food complement one another.

Come out and support this street festival in honor of St. Anthony, who saved Little Italy from the Great Fire of 1904. The annual festival will be complete with a parade, Italian food, live music, kid’s activities, a bocce tournament, and more!

Enjoy good food, the best in local jazz and blues, and the pleasures of wandering through Federal Hill. There will also be booths with hand-made jewelry, fine art, antiques, crafts, kid’s activities and more!

Baltimore’s farmers’ market and bazaar is open for the season! There will be a huge variety of items available for purchase including fruits and vegetables, baked goods, dairy products, and dozens of food vendors! Vegan food items will be available.

Participants ride on the beautiful trails of the W&OD and through farms and valleys of Virginia’s historic horse country.  Routes include 14, 20, 35, 56/68 and 108/82 mile distances that are designed for every level of cycling, all rides start and finish at Reston Town Center.

Annual Mako Maniamako mania

This Mako shark tournament marks the start of the tournament season in Ocean City! Come by Bahia Marina; grab a drink and something to eat as they weigh in the sharks caught from each fishing day.

Rogallo Kite Festival

Come out and fly some kites in remembrance of Francis Rogallo, the NASA scientist and inventor of the flexible wing. You can learn to fly various kites or take in the large kite display. There will also be kite making and other fun activities to take part in!
