Washington, DC Events


Faberge Egg Family Festival

Celebrate the bedazzled creations of Russia at Hillwood’s two-day Faberge egg festival. Enjoy festive folk music and storytelling, roll eggs on the lawn, or even create your own Russian faberge masterpiece!

Francophonie Cultural Festival
The Francophonie Cultural Festival features six weeks of concerts, theatrical performances, films, culinary tastings, literary salons, children’s workshops, and more in Washington DC. The nation’s capital will resonate with the vibrant sounds, sights, and tastes of the French-speaking in the largest Francophone festival in the world. DC Environmental Film Festival
The DC Environmental Film Festival features 190 documentary, feature, animated, archival, experimental and children’s films from around the world. The films will be shown at more than 75 venues around Washington, DC, including museums, embassies, libraries, universities and local theaters. The circus is finally in town! For the first time in circus history, myth and majesty will share the arena  during this must-see family event that can only be witnessed at The Greatest Show On Earth. DC Beer Festival

The inaugural DC Beer Festival brings together dozens of craft breweries, including DC’s own local representation. The event will feature live music, games, DJs, some delicious beers, and plenty of surprises.

Kite Festival
Gunston Hall Plantation

Get into the spring spirit with a day of kite flying on Gunston Hall’s fields. The home, which boasts picturesque views of the Potomac River, will also offer visitors a glimpse of the 18th-century with games, cooking demonstrations and activities.\

Celebrate the arrival of Spring in the hills of Bluemont, Virginia! Great Country Farms has tucked 7,000 eggs into its pastures for a two-day egg hunt, which also features a s’mores roast, as well as chances to visit with the farm’s baby animals and take a hayride!

Maryland Events

Maryland Day Celebration
Throughout the three-day event, historical and cultural institutions in Annapolis and southern Anne Arundel County open their doors to the public offering special tours, events, and programming for $1.00 or less. The Maryland Day Celebration will include historic sites not usually open to the public, special programs developed for Maryland Day, costumed re-enactors, exhibits, and family activities! Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ Festival

Price: $25-$85

Head on over to the Maryland State fairgrounds for a great day of beer sippin’, bourbon tastin’, music listenin’, cigar smokin’, and barbeque eatin’. Your admission buys you a sampling glass so you can enjoy an all you can drink sampling of beer and bourbon. Some of the best barbeque vendors are on-site if you get hungry all while enjoying seminars in the tasting theater and live music all day.
