Animezing!: Robot Carnival

If you are a fan of Japanese culture, film, language, or lifestyle, and you’ve never attended an event hosted by the JICC, you’ve been missing out! This “anime-zing” cinema-shorts screening highlights the impact of robots on society and the individual, a theme prevalent in many Japanese artforms

 

Smithsonian at 8: A Night at the Circus

Presented in collaboration with the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, this 21+ nocturnal spectacle features unique circus art performance, a temporary tattoo bar, photo both, DJ, and cash bar. And don’t miss the Carousel on the Mall for a dazzling and dizzying experience!

 

Capital Fringe Festival

Time: beginning July 6 at 12pm and running through July 30
Cost: starting at $17

Capital Fringe is a celebration of cultural democracy and art for everyone. By embracing diversity and a spirit of independence, the festival creates or rents a series of theatre spaces for participants to challenge your perceptions and shake up the hierarchy with musical, visual, and performing arts.
