Washington, DC Events:

DC Blues Festival

The 28th annual festival features live blues by both local and national acts for a day of soulful and electrifying blues and music workshops! There will be a “Musical Instrument Petting Zoo” and other child-friendly activities.

Enjoy your favorite drink with friends and take in great views of the nation’s capital from the decks of the Patriot II or Freedom while sailing along the Potomac River.  A full bar will be available.

National Symphony Orchestra: Labor Day Capitol Concert 2016
US Capitol Building West Lawn

This annual music event kicks off the Kennedy Center’s performing arts seasons with patriotic classics that highlight America.  Can’t make it to the 6pm show?  There will be a 3pm dress rehearsal as well.

Charity Boat Auction
Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

Cost: $5 until 11am, regular rates apply after 11am

As the summer winds down, put in a bid for a new boat to begin next season with! There will be beer and barbeque available for purchase, as well as a flea market for boating accessories and more. Proceeds benefit the children and adults served by the museum.
