Spring is in full swing and with that comes even more spring-inspired outdoor events! Be sure to venture outside this weekend and check them out!

Blossom Kite Festival

The 5th annual Blossom Kite Festival showcases the creativity and skills of kite makers and fliers from across the US and other countries through a variety of competitions and demonstrations. The Festival includes 5 areas to enjoy: the Competition & Demonstration Field, Family Field, Kite Club Display Area, Activity Tents, and Public Field. Bring your own kites or children can make a kite at an activity station (while supplies last) to fly on the Public Field!

The annual Francophonie Cultural Festival spotlights the music, art, literature, film, cuisine, and customs of French-speaking countries and regions from across the globe! Sample food and drink from more than 30 embassies, grab some giveaways, and dance along with DJ Princess Slaya spinning music from Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and plenty of destinations in between.

Bricks & Mortar Ball

The annual Bricks & Mortar Ball features open bar, hors d’oeuvres and dancing to the Blue Tips Rhythm Review at the historic Manhattan Laundry.  The event benefits the DC Preservation League, Washington’s only citywide nonprofit solely dedicated to the preservation and protection of the historic resources of our nation’s capital.
