In honor of U Street’s Diverse cultural history, people from all over the District come to celebrate the spirit of funk at this free, one-of-a-kind parade, street fair and music festival. Watch the streets come to life with a roller-skating salute to DC in the ‘70s, live musical performances and entertainment from a variety of vibrant dancers, marching bands and visual artists.

Doors will open for kid-friendly, self-guided tours. Children’s and parents are invited to wander through the house and complete a photo scavenger hunt to win prizes, then head to the museum garden to play games and relax.

Revolutionary War Weekend
George Washington’s Mount Vernon

This two-day event will be one of the largest Revolutionary War re-enactments in the region! Several hundred Continentals, Redcoats, cannons and cavalry will be in action on the estate. A host of other Revolutionary War themed activities can be found throughout the weekend.
